Going against the wind is not always an affectation or a mere rebellious act. Taking a different perspective, we may simply follow a path that is familiar to us, though it goes against the wind. Therefore, what makes our way harder is the wind, and not the path itself that goes against a set course.
Where I was born and live, a strong wind blows, the Bora . At times it is a light breeze, in the summer, which relieves form a suffocating heat and refreshes the air, but in the winter the Bora is higher and stronger, it blows forcefully in penetrating and icy gusts, biting your body and even your mind and soul after a few days. At times, when it rains as well, this wind covers with ice everything it encounters. Thus, if you need to get out and do your things there's no choice but learn and live on a course that does not necessarily follows the wind.
Perceiving the puff of wind and adapting your body position to it, according to the direction and the strength it blows, that becomes a sort of an unconscious skill, until you bump into a particularly strong blast of wind, then the two forces clash and for a short while one feels like suspended; and then again forward, with one's collar turned up, struggling along.
And after all, the matter is recognising one's image in the mirror, provided that there is an image in the mirror...

Put near oneiric and
uncanny imaginary to surrealism partialy explain Fulvio
Tomasi research. Not devoid it of echoes literaries
recognized in etching “Perturbations” where, mistaking
animals, humans and anthropomorphic beings, they draw to
mind H.P.Lovecraft images. Odillon Redon is the landmark
which, instead by estranging effects, evoke an
unconscious where metamorphic law govern. From Ninetie’s
elaborations (“El neverin”) obviously symbolics to those
more recent beat ways more complex about icons
dissolution and on organic and unorganic hybridization,
until to last minimal and metallic proposal, Tomasi don’t
never leaves iconism for come to not figurative results.
But, from his point of view, interpretation of
unconscious world shrink from any solution form.
Interior world is a charade don’t wants and don’t musts
be explained yet it musts be lived only by all its
contradiction. This imaginative inventiveness don’t is
thinkable on explanation horizon since the game at stake
don’t is only forms and its sense yet Karstic gorge of
unfathomablest mental recesses. But it result meaningful
that presentest icon in these images is eye. It’s just
by vision who our unconscious acquires basic iconic
particles of its representation. This world made by
images resist to our explorations, into its distressing
primitive, like labyrinth without centre and without
exit, it multiply itself by interpretation. Maybe for
this reason Tomasi research is going to progressive cut
work. After horror vacui of his less recent works it’s
succeeded a reflection about empty spaces lived with few
figures reabsorbed from deep dark . In last
landing-place “See You” shadows predominate: last matter
remaining make up our dreams.
