BESTIAL - 2001

NEW SHOWROOM OF THE "AZIENDA DI PROMOZIONE TURISTICA DI GRADO E AQUILEIA" - GRADO (GORIZIA) - ITALY

The exhibition is dedicated to animals, particularly to the subtle relations existing between man and animals. Animals are featured in most my production, at times as protagonists, at times as supporting actors, not always recognisable as such.

Some have left and others have taken their place. They have developed and evolved over many millions of years, reaching an unbelievable range of shapes, types and colours.

Every stage of evolution, every change, have always met the need for balancing and setting up the Mechanism. Its making progress is nothing but a constant setting up. The slightest change has always been followed by another one, over and over again, to make sure that the Engine kept working properly. In time, the Engine has become more and more sophisticated and complex, while continuing being governed by the same principles.

Then came HE, in his upright stance, noble, intelligent, good natured, generous and pacific, and opposed to a violent and ungrateful nature. A nature which, indeed, needed somebody who dominated its unseemly pseudo-anarchist and anti-human tendencies. Relying on the astounding results he has obtained, now the Supreme Being believes he has the right and the capability to put his hands in the Engine.
